Heat Tracing

ENGlobal has developed a specialized group of professionals to provide design, procurement, and project management services relating to electric and fluid heat tracing applications. ENGlobal has significant experience with heat tracing projects in the refining, petrochemical, chemicals, pulp and paper, power, and the emerging bio-energy markets.

Applications for industrial grade heat tracing include:

Sulfur recovery
Asphalt processing
Condensate and potable water freeze protection
Caustic
Chemical feed systems
Ethanol and bio-diesel processing
Fuel oil viscosity management
Analyzer sampling
Food grade oils
Waxes

In essence, ENGlobal can provide applications for any process requiring the prevention of heat lost to ambient air temperature that is less than the normal operating temperature of any fluid or gas.

Our capabilities include conceptual engineering, design, and budgeting support for the optimization of pipe and instrument heating requirements during the planning stage of capital projects through detailed engineering documentation of any type of process temperature maintenance or freeze protection requirement.

Our project execution of heat tracing systems includes contract management of plant-approved instrumentation and electrical contractors in any region of the United States and Canada. ENGlobal employs project management and project engineering personnel to work closely with contractors to ensure an effective system installation that meets owner specifications and is delivered on schedule with safety and the total cost of ownership.
