The primary process software packages utilized are SimSci Pro-II, Visual Flare, Visual Network, Hysys, and ChemCad. This software is used for rigorous process modeling, column and internals design, relief system design and hydraulic studies. B-JAC and STX for shell and tube heat exchangers and ACX for air-cooled exchangers are used for rigorous exchanger design/ rating. Aspen has been utilized for complex batch operations. In addition, ENGlobal process engineers are experienced with Instrucalc, used for relief valve, rupture disc, control valve and orifice plate specification.
