CEO, Corporate Leadership

William A. Coskey, P.E.

Mr. Coskey founded ENG in 1985 and has served in various positions, including service as Chairman of the Board since June 2005, Chief Executive Officer from August 2012 until March 2021.  He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of the Company. 

From April 2007 until May 2010, he served as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President from 1985 until 2001, Chief Operating Officer from 2001 to 2003, and President from 2001 to June 2005. Mr. Coskey, an honors graduate, received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1975 and is a Registered Professional Engineer.

He served on the Texas A&M University Electrical Engineering Department Advisory Council from 1999 to 2014, and from 2006 until 2014, he served as Chairman of the Council. Mr. Coskey received the 2014 Outstanding Alumni Honor Award from the Texas A&M University College of Engineering. In 2014, Mr. Coskey was also appointed to the Texas A&M College of Engineering Advisory Council

William Coskey

Mr. Coskey founded ENG in 1985 and has served in various positions, including service as Chairman of the Board since June 2005, Chief Executive Officer from August 2012 until March 2021.  He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of the Company. 

From April 2007 until May 2010, he served as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President from 1985 until 2001, Chief Operating Officer from 2001 to 2003, and President from 2001 to June 2005. Mr. Coskey, an honors graduate, received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1975 and is a Registered Professional Engineer.

He served on the Texas A&M University Electrical Engineering Department Advisory Council from 1999 to 2014, and from 2006 until 2014, he served as Chairman of the Council. Mr. Coskey received the 2014 Outstanding Alumni Honor Award from the Texas A&M University College of Engineering. In 2014, Mr. Coskey was also appointed to the Texas A&M College of Engineering Advisory Council

Lonnie W. Smith

Lonnie Smith has 35 years of experience working in Sustainables, Traditional Hydrocarbon / Natural Gas Processing, Specialty Chemicals, Industrial Gas, and Power, with leadership positions in Operations, Technical Sales, and Business Development.

Accomplished in Business Start-ups / Turnarounds, Major Accounts, Market Analysis, Conceptual Development, Project / Program Management, EPC, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Process Plants / Facilities / Modular Process Equipment.

Process Plants and Capital Project experience includes facilities with technologies and projects in Refining, Hydroprocessing, FCC, Coker, Reforming, Stabilization, Fractionation, Olefins, Polyolefins, Petrochemical, Specialty Chemicals, Gas Processing / NGL, LNG, Syngas, Gasification, Helium, Amine, Sulfur, and Treating.

Lonnie is currently responsible for Engineering, Process Systems / Fabrication, and EPFC(m) at ENG, with offices in Houston, Tulsa, and Fabrication facilities in Brookshire.

Prior to joining ENG, Lonnie held leadership positions with Ref-Chem (Burns & McDonnell), Wood Group Mustang, AECOM, Linde Engineering, Air Products & Chemicals, and Shell.

Lonnie graduated with a Bachelor of Science and an MBA at the University of Houston Clear Lake.

Christopher D. Sorrells has served as a member of ENG Board since August 2021. Currently, Mr. Sorrells is Managing Director of Pearl Energy Investments, a $1.2 billion private equity fund focused on the energy and sustainability industries, and Chief Executive Officer and a director of each of Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: SV) and Spring Valley Acquisition Corporation II. Prior to Spring Valley, he was Interim CEO of Wellsite Fishing & Rentals Services, LLCs, an oilfield services company focused on the Marcellus region.

From August 2015 to September 2019, he was a member of the Board of Directors and the Chief Operating Officer of GSE Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: GVP), a publicly traded engineering and expert staffing company for the power and process industries. From 2005 to 2015, he served as Managing Director at NGP Energy Technology Partners, L.P., a private equity firm investing in companies that provide products and services to the energy, power, and environmental industries.

From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Sorrells worked at Clarity Partners, L.P. a private equity firm, focused on growth and LBO transactions. Mr. Sorrells served as a principal with

Kevin M. Palma

Director

Mr. Palma has served as a Director of the Company since June 2016, and is a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.

Mr. Palma served as the Chief Financial Officer of B-29 Investments, LP, an energy private equity firm, from 2006 until he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in December 2018, and also served as the Chief Financial Officer of B-29 Family Holdings, LLC, a family office, since its inception in 2014 until December 2018. In his role within the private equity space, Mr. Palma focuses on investment strategy, investment execution, and portfolio company management for both privately-held and publicly-traded companies.

Mr. Palma currently serves on several private company boards, including Silver Creek Oil and Gas, LLC, Caliber Completion Services, LLC, and Klear Bit Technologies, LLC. His past experiences on private company boards include Crest Pumping Technologies, LLC and TEC Holdings, LLC (which was recently rebranded as AXIS Energy Services, LLC).

Kevin M. Palma

Prior to his roles at B-29, Mr. Palma was a member of the energy investment banking team at Raymond James & Associates, focusing on capital market raises and merger and acquisition activity.

Mr. Palma is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in addition to a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas.

Lloyd Kirchner is a board member at ENG and Vice President of Zachry Group. Since 2014, Lloyd has held various executive positions in Engineering, Business Development, Safety and Quality at Zachry Group.

Formerly, Lloyd served as President and CEO of Commonwealth Engineering and Construction, where he also held executive positions in Operations, Sales, Marketing and Commercial Management.  Lloyd joined Zachry Group through the acquisition of Commonwealth.  Prior to Commonwealth, he was a founding employee of Capstone Turbine Corporation and held various executive positions in Engineering, Supply Management, Manufacturing and Product Development.  Lloyd started his career with Amoco Corporation working in all three business units:  Exploration & Production, Refining and Chemicals.

Lloyd received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.  He currently serves as a Board Member for the Post Oak School in Houston, the Baylor College of Medicine and Mercury Chamber Orchestra.

Margaret K. Lassarat

Independent Board Member

Margaret (Meg) K. Lassarat has served as a member of ENG Board since April 2023.  Ms. Lassarat is a high-profile strategic leader and experienced independent board member with over 30 years of global experience in driving growth, identifying strategic alternatives and delivering positive bottom-line results. She was awarded Houston’s CFO of the Year for managing growth and overseeing corporate expansion. Ms. Lassarat received the Women’s Legacy Award from Texas A&M’s Women Former Student Network.

Currently, she serves as an independent board member for Dudek, Alta Southwest and Engineers Without Borders. In the executive space, most recently, Meg was the Chief Financial Officer for Exyte Energy, a $5 billion global engineering and construction firm. Prior to Exyte, Meg was the CFO at Louis Berger and prior to that Kentz Engineers and Constructors, large engineering and construction management firms. Ms. Lassarat also served as the Chief Financial Officer and as a board member of Mustang Engineering.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Lassarat served in various finance roles at Halliburton, Petroleum Geo Services and Transocean. She began her career in the audit group at KPMG and served as Vice President & Controller at the Resolution Trust Corporation.

Ms. Lassarat has served on the Advisory Board of the Engineering and Construction Conference, on the Boards of Directors of Klohn Crippen, CableLock Systems, and Kentz USA and as Chairman of Mustang Tampa, Inc. Meg previously served on the facility advisory board of Texas A&M University’s School of Business. Meg has been a regular contributor to The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Houston Chronicle, and Houston Business Journal.

She holds a BA in Accounting from Texas A&M University, is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and holds the Project Management Professional certification.
